Utterly charmed by the images and description of The Robin Book, by H. Boylston Dummer:
The volume's covers, hand-painted in ink and watercolor, depict a robin in flight with wings that fold open to reveal the robin's red feathered belly and the underside of the wings. The volume, written in rhyme, tells the story of Mary, a young girl who befriends robins nesting in a tree outside her bedroom window.
